Arriving in Florence in 1996, Emily began studying at Charles H. Cecil studio and continued until 2000 where she studied classical techniques, specialising in portraiture. Moving to the studio of Richard Serrin, a resident artist in Florence whose techniques were based upon those of the 16th and 17th Century masters, she spent a year refining her drawing skills and exhibited alongside Richard's paintings at the British Institute in Florence.
In between her studies, she has painted and drawn numerous portrait commissions in England and since 2000 has exhibited annually at a group shows in the South of England.
Emily's work has since appeared in exhibitions in London, New York, Rome and Florence. She now works on private commissions at her studio in Hampshire, England.
